RECYCLED MATERIALNICKEL
Hastelloy X (Alloy X)
Hastelloy X (Alloy X, UNS N06002) is a solid-solution-strengthened nickel-chromium-iron-molybdenum alloy containing about 22% chromium, 18.5% iron and 9% molybdenum, combining high-temperature strength with excellent oxidation resistance up to approximately 1,200°C (2,200°F). It retains good ductility after long-term exposure at 650-870°C, resists stress-corrosion cracking in petrochemical environments, and offers excellent formability and weldability for fabricated sheet components. It is one of the most widely used alloys for gas turbine combustion-zone components such as combustor cans, transition ducts, afterburner parts and tailpipes, and is also used for industrial furnace parts including baffles, retorts, muffles and catalyst support grids. DASM supplies Hastelloy X as sorted, analyzed, cut and shot-blasted melting feedstock: plate, bar and forgings as vacuum-melt quality (VQ), and thin-gauge sheet as air-melt quality (AQ).
